Our Story

M. A. Milam K-8 Center houses students from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade. The school is divided into several buildings that are the product of several additions and renovations that have taken place since 1961 when the school first opened.  Milam is located in a predominantly Spanish-speaking community in West Hialeah. It is situated on ten acres. In 1999 the conversion to a K-8 Center began, and a Middle Learning Center (MLC) was added to the existing facility.  The school receives Title I assistance, as 90 percent of the students receive free or reduced lunch.
