Chess Club
   Milam's 2007, 6th - 8th grade team won 4th place in the Florida State Chess Championship.
                                                      

 Miguel Fonseca, 8th grade, won 7th place in the individual category at the State Championship.
                                                  

  • Chess club meets Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in room 212.
Robotics Club
  • We have been meeting on different days but starting on Tuesday September 5th we  will meet every Tuesday after school.
  • Anyone interrested in joining see Mr. Vega in room 201
  • Good news- The Milam robotics team competed over the winter break in a competition in Riverview Florida.  Milam received the trophy for "Best Robot Design"
SECME ClubAnyone interrested in joining see Ms. Arteaga or Mr. Fernandez
   Milam does it again in 2007...
     for the second time Milam students win first place on the mousetrap car 
     competition in the District SECME Olympiad.
    

    Congratulations to Maria Toro, Vannesa Loaiza and Brian Merlano who now have 
     qualified to compete in the National SECME mousetrap competition being held in 
     Daytona, Florida from June 28 to July 1st.
